Ravangla
A serene hill retreat of South Sikkim
Ravangla (Rabong) is a small, tranquil hill town in South Sikkim at around 2,000 metres, set on a saddle between the Maenam and Tendong hills with grandstand views of the Kanchenjunga range. It has become one of Sikkim's most loved short breaks, quieter than Gangtok and blessed with clean mountain air.
Its centrepiece is the Buddha Park (Tathagata Tsal), built around a 40-metre statue of the Buddha amid landscaped gardens and a meditation centre, one of the most serene sights in the state. The Ralong and Bon monasteries and the Maenam wildlife sanctuary lie close by, and the town makes an ideal base for exploring South and West Sikkim.

Getting there
About 4–5 hours from Bagdogra/NJP, or 2.5 hours from Gangtok. No permit to enter Sikkim.
